Scoring components
Our 1–5 overall rating is calculated by E-Bike Scores from four components. Component weights are never published.
Specs and features are banded from battery Wh, motor watts, torque, brakes, sensor type, UL 2849, suspension, and class. Value is banded from price relative to comparable specs.
Evidence limits
Coverage is uneven and must be surfaced, not hidden. We never interpolate a missing spec, and we never score a component whose inputs are absent — we show "insufficient data" instead. Complaint coverage is sparse, so absence of complaints is never presented as evidence of quality. Prices are snapshot values as captured, not live pricing.
Independence
Affiliate links are welcome, but affiliate relationships and commissions never influence a score, rank, inclusion, or ordering. This is stated on every page carrying a commercial link.
